Ick
This is definitely not an unusual thing (porn), particularly with the men who have FTD, but I think it would be wise to keep an eye on the situation, even though you just as soon not view it.

End of August
I'm new and am just beginning to get a clue about what may be ahead for my hubby and me. Still, I already relate to how sleeping through upsetting change isn't a bad thing. We have a move in our future, and I basically gave him permission to sleep through it, as he did our previous move. To read the last line breaks my heart for you, as I have already run that scenario through my brain. Do you have kids, and if so, what was their reaction early on? Mine think I'm a nut case and exaggerating.Posted 08-29-2010 at 06:42 PM by nealln

How much control should the patient have
Larry, My husband has demetia and has gone through spending spurts but I finally had a talk with him and he gets money every month to do what he wants with it. I do check in with him from time to time and review if I think he is using it unwisely but since we have no credit cards I let him do what he will with his money. Maybe you could let your wife read this. It was hard for me at first but since we have spent time discussing the problem I feel we have come up a solution. That is one area I feel he needs to have some control over. He trusts me to pay the bills. He did go out one time without my knowledge and spend $4000. without my knowledge. So, the credit cards went. He can use his debit if he calls me first. I feel both of your pains.Posted 08-13-2010 at 08:58 PM by itsmejita
